BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Make vegan bbq chicken seitan sandwiches at home with chicken seitan, peppers, onions, fajita seasoning, vegan mayo, bbq sauce and a bun!

  • medium-sized skillet
  • small-sized non-stick skillet
  • toaster oven / a way to toast your buns



  • Heat a medium-sized skillet and season the pan with olive oil. Slice the onion and julienne the pepper and add to the skillet. Sauté the peppers and onions until you see some char then lower the heat until cooked thoroughly about 5-7 minutes and add the fajita seasoning.
  • Meanwhile, in a small-sized non-stick skillet (if you don't have a non-stick skillet, just use a regular one with a bit of oil so the chicken pieces don't stick) add the chicken seitan pieces. Once the pieces are browned and warmed all the way through – about 2-3 minutes – remove from heat and add the BBQ sauce.
  • Toast the buns and then assemble your sandwiches with the chicken seitan on the bottom topped with onions and peppers and lastly vegan mayo. Serve immediately.
